Balance

“Balance is not something you find, it’s something you create”- Jana Kingsford
I became fascinated with creating workout programs to improve my clients’ balance after learning how much balance training improves brain health– it truly is the fountain of youth!
The cerebellum, in the back of the brain and atop your spinal cord, acts as the body’s movement and balance control center. It receives messages about the body’s position from the inner ear, eyes, muscles, and joints, and sends out commands to maintain balance. It also coordinates the timing and force of large muscle movements initiated in other parts of the brain.
Balance training has even been shown to increase neuroplasticity in Parkinson’s patients!
Balance training is a key concept in my workout programs, so chase that fountain of youth!
